I don’t think I’ve mentioned how much I love Matt Smith yet. There is a surprising amount of hate - especially from David Tennant fans - for the Eleventh Doctor, but I believe that most of it is unfounded. I really liked 10 and believe that Tennant did a great job, but that doesn’t mean that 11 is bad. One of the coolest thing about this show is that the writers get to reinvent this fantastic, utterly unique “mad man with a box” every few years and add something new to the show. I think that Matt Smith is amazing. The Doctor stole his TARDIS and went traveling because he had adventure in his blood. He loves it - even when he doesn’t - and I think that 11 captures that really well.
